hello world!

(Bangkok graffiti from around Ratchatewi)

Here’s a shout-out to all the students in Rob Newberry’s 6th grade photography class at Ruam Rudee International school in Bangkok! Welcome to my blog, guys!

This week and next week, we’re working together on “24 hours in my life in 24 pictures. I’m really excited to see what everyone comes up with!

So far, we’ve talked a bit about the role of photography in last week’s dramatic events in Bangkok, we watched one of my favorite TED talks on visual storytelling by National Geographic’s David Griffin (pretty much everyone voted that the sea lion pictures were the best! — watch the talk if you want to know what I’m talking about!), and we talked about different ways of tackling this project. Now everyone will be taking pictures over the long weekend and we’re going to take a look at them together next week.

Looking forward to seeing everyone’s life in pictures!
