Tanksgiving

At work:

“Clearly if there’s going to be a coup, it should be today. I mean, Nov. 27, the chance will never come again: if there’s a coup today, we can call it Tanksgiving.”

Remember when I told you, things are ok, you can still come to Thailand for your vacation, it’s safe? Yeah, don’t come to Thailand right now.

Both Suvarnabhumi and Don Muang airports are occupied by protesters. The airports are closed for flights until at least Nov. 29th, leaving lots of travellers stranded. There’s a state of emergency declared for the two airports to give the police power to clear the protesters.

Will there be a coup, will there not be a coup? No one fucking knows. But it’s seriously not a good time to come here right now.
